Getting Started with Fintora

This guide will walk you through setting up your Fintora account and connecting your first trading account.

Create Your Account

  1. Visit fintora.app/register
  2. Enter your email address and create a secure password
  3. Verify your email address (check spam folder if needed)
  4. Log in to your new account

?? Tip: Use a strong password with at least 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.

Add Your Trading Account

  1. Navigate to Accounts in the sidebar
  2. Click "Add Account"
  3. Fill in your account details:
    • Broker: Your broker name (e.g., "IC Markets", "FTMO")
    • Account Number: Your MT5 account number
    • Account Type: Live, Demo, or Prop
    • Server: Your broker's server (e.g., "ICMarkets-Demo")
  4. Click "Save Account"

?? Important: Fintora does NOT require your trading password. We only need account details for display and monitoring purposes.

Install MT5 Reporter EA

The MT5 Reporter EA sends real-time trading data from MetaTrader 5 to Fintora:

  1. Download the MT5 Reporter EA from your Fintora account dashboard
  2. Open MetaTrader 5
  3. Click File ? Open Data Folder
  4. Navigate to MQL5/Experts/
  5. Copy the MT5 Reporter EA file (FintoraMT5Reporter.ex5) into this folder
  6. Restart MetaTrader 5
  7. In MT5 Navigator panel, find the EA under Expert Advisors
  8. Drag the EA onto any chart

? Pro Tip: You only need ONE instance of the Reporter EA per MT5 terminal. It will monitor all accounts and EAs automatically.

Configure API Credentials

  1. In Fintora, go to Accounts ? API Keys
  2. Click "Generate New API Key"
  3. Copy your API Key (you'll only see this once!)
  4. In the MT5 Reporter EA settings dialog, paste:
    • API Key: Your generated key
    • Account ID: From your Fintora Accounts page
    • API URL: https://fintora.app/api/v1
  5. Check "Allow live trading" and click OK

?? Security: Store your API key securely. Anyone with this key can view your trading data (but cannot execute trades).

Verify Connection

Check that everything is working:

  1. In MT5, check the Experts tab (bottom panel)
  2. You should see messages like: ? Connected to Fintora API
  3. In Fintora dashboard, you should see:
    • Real-time balance and equity
    • Open positions (if any)
    • Recent trade history
    • Green status indicator on account

?? Note: Data syncs every 30 seconds. It may take up to 1 minute for your first data to appear.

Your trading account is now connected to Fintora. Here's what to explore next:
